Request to join EOHarm denied

I attempted to join the EOHarm mailing list, indicating that my intention was to monitor emails posted there, and if necessary, to post rebuttals here in my blog (not on the mailing list itself). I don't see anything wrong with that. Still, my request was denied. Oh well.

Evidence of "Reason" not welcome.

They shoot spies, don't they.

Spies don't clearly lay out their intentions, John. Evidently, the moderator must have a reason to not want me to scrutinize claims made on that list. He must have read some of my posts.

hmmm, and you did not want to lie?!

Joe;
Are you already a member of EOHarm using a different alais?

Joseph said...

I wasn't aware that list existed until a couple months ago.

Honestly, I didn't consider lying. I should've thought of that. This is an autistic "imapairment".

No. That honesty thing that most of us value. I am the parent of an autistic person and being honest to myself about my son's autism was an important step for me. It also helped me to be honest with my son and with other people.

Do you really want a club membership with members like JB and JB jr?

Joseph said...

I don't care for the club. I'm just curious as to the nonsense they are up to in there.

Joseph,

Your blog is fantastic! I enjoyed the "serious" posts, but these last two gave me the best laughs I have had in months.

JBJ: Keep up the good work. I wish I had found your blog first, when I started researching autism after my son's diagnosis last year. You could have saved me the 20 minutes I wasted trying figure out whether the GR website really was as wacky as it first appeared to be.

So much for mercury;
I had a tough time believing that a vaccine ingredient caused my son's autism too. Too bad for your kid you didn't spend more time reading GR and talk to some of the people who've helped their kids recover. Listening to neurodiversity won't help your kid.

Joseph said...

Yes John, the GR site lists up to 20 kids with some apparent improvement on chelation. I was quite impressed.

Anyway, I'm glad readers are enjoying. I will be hard to top the last post though.

Fore Sam said...

Joe;
I don't see ANY kids listed on your site showing improvement. Doesn't neurodiversity help?

Joseph said...

I won't explain what neurodiversity is again, because concepts dealing with tolerance are beyond you John. But I'll tell you this: Neurodiversity will never make the fraudelent claim that autistics kids don't develop except on some quack treatment.

Mike,

my post was not intended to offend. I was hinting at the following:

"Honesty" is something that I found highlighted in several places as one hallmark of Asperger's. I see the "inability" to tell even one "little white lie" no matter how useful it would be in a couple of people with Asperger whom I know.

You could join the EoH list being honest about your son, however, criticism does not seem to be well tolerated on that list (and by some list members off list, too).

I gave up lurking on EoH since I ran out of Tums.

Joe;
Explain why my son didn't develop at all until he started treatment.
If I listened to Neurodiversity, my kid would still be banging holes in the wall with his head, possibly due to the pain that was caused by the constipation that he no longer suffers in agony from.

Hey John, Maybe the 'chelation agents' ALA, DMSA, etc, are just expensive and less effective laxatives.

Hey fore sam,

The problem was I did read the GR site for more than 20 minutes. So I guess I lied, but not really, because I read the rest of it one day when I went back to remind myself of what it was that sent me away in the first place.

As for my kid, he is developing and showing great improvements, and without chelation or supplements. Well, not actually. He gets one Flinstones a day. He's not banging his head through walls either, and is pretty "regular", too. But I suppose that will just cause you and your mercury friends to claim that he's not "really autistic".

So much for mercury;
You have to understand that my blog is not about Generation Rescue. It is about showing Neurodiversity for the idiocy that it is. Maybe you won't understand about mercury until the doctors stop lying about it and you are able to hear the truth from one of them.

You'll never know.
You don't know why he headbanged.
I've raised a headbanger (he preferred floors and pavement to walls)
He no longer bangs his head.
It was never about pain.
